Cube World - The Next Big Thing
It's been one Month since Cubeworld has been released as Alpha version and I have played it for 'some hours. What is Cubeworld, you may ask? Cubeworld (or Cube World) is a Voxel-Based-Open-World-Action-RPG (think 3D Dot Game Heroes) for Windows (Mac and Console Ports are planned, too). According to the Developer "Wollay", it has been inspired by games like Minecraft, Zelda, Secret of Mana, Monster Hunter, Diablo, World of Warcraft "and many more". While this may be true, Cubeworld still feels like a very original game, even if it's just because that mix is so unique. The Art Style is very lovely and the Combat is fast & fun. The only thing that bothers me ATM is that it can take quite a while to shake an aggressive monster off your butt, but that's about it.
